WHAT IS POWER LIFTING?

Powerlifting athletes compete in the squat, bench press, and deadlift to see who can lift the most weight for one rep. Powerlifters have three attempts to reach their maximum weight and are ranked according to their body weight and age. The person with the highest powerlifting total is declared the winner.

Things to know before you register

  • Weigh-in will happen on 17th & 18th November and is mandatory in order to participate
  • This is an informal event (not officially sanctioned by any federation);
  • There is no minimum requirement or qualification criteria. Just be sure to register on time!
  • This event is open for men and women to compete;
  • Lifts will be on command.
  • Each category is 10 kgs weight class.
  • Powerlifting gear can be used
